O."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>The Raising of Lazarus as a Biblical Plot in Literature at the Turn of the Century\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 P. 107-118.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vestnik.rsu-rzn.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/11.pdf\" data-wp-editing=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4264 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/vestnik.rsu-rzn.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/pdf-2020.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"68\" height=\"85\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>UDC 821.161.1.09<\/p>\n<p>DOI 10.37724\/RSU.2022.75.2.011<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Abstract.<\/em><\/strong> The significance of biblical motifs for Russian literature, the variety of interpretations of biblical images and plots in different epochs underline the importance of a comparative analysis of different interpretations through the prism of writers\u2019 worldview, writers\u2019 style, and the social and political context they lived in. The aim of the article is to analyze the interpretation of a biblical plot, namely the razing of Lazarus by the writers of the turn of the century: L. N. Andreyev (the 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u201320<sup>th<\/sup> centuries) and V. Sharov (the 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u201321<sup>st <\/sup>centuries). The research focuses on the peculiarities of the authors\u2019 perception of the plot through the prism <br \/>\nof their individual worldviews and social worldviews. The article maintains that despite using different stylistic methods, both authors attempt to predict further development of Russia and Russian people through the prism <br \/>\nof the biblical plot. Both writers resort to mythologization in an attempt to \u201cresurrect\u201d the past of the country and to create a new concept of human development at the turn of the century (V. Sharov) and in an attempt <br \/>\nto highlight a failure to culturally develop in the conditions of a post-revolutionary Russia (1905\u20131907) <br \/>\n(L. N. Andreyev).
