Abstract<\/strong>The article examines the development of Russians\u2019 international tourism during the second half of the 19thand early 20th centuries. The sources include travel notes by two authors: V. M. Sidorov and F. I. Knorring. The text explores the specific features of tourist trips to the New World, including routes, costs, choice of transportation, and everyday specifics. Particular attention is paid to the emergence of the tourism business: using the example of the famous Cook Agency, the role of travel agencies in systematizing and simplifying the process of organizing travel is analyzed, which, in turn, contributed to making such trips more accessible to the mass consumer. The analysis of Sidorov\u2019s and Knorring\u2019s travelogues makes it possible to reconstruct the everyday life of travelers and how they perceived America, its culture, nature, and industrial achievements. The authors describe differences in routes, levels of comfort, and social organization on steamships. The article emphasizes the importance of studying such memoirs for understanding daily life, social norms, and tourist practices of the 19th century, as well as for analyzing the evolution of global tourism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
